I just went offshore fishing today and brought back a clump of Sargassum that was floating by. It is in my qt for the moment. Is this good stuff to have in my tank? I have a fowlr. Thanks in advance.
I've grown it under 250W 6500K bulbs, both attached in the display tank and floating in a vegetative sump. Under bright lights it is hardy and resistant to overgrowth. You can get it to attach by binding it to a rock with an electric tie wrap. If conditions are good for it, it will grow up from the point of attachment and drape across the water's surface.
