Have an Oceanic 30 gal. (around 20 in. cube) that has developed a slow leak around tank top. Water & salt creep around top back & down outside one corner). Currently using as 2/3 full QT with no problems.
After moving QT fish out to DT, my options are to repair by removing all inside silicone (including top lip) and re-silicone tank or maybe converting to rimless as a learning project. How tall a rimless could I safely go with a glass thickness of 5/16 in. ? If doable, would have the glass cut locally and build tank myself.
