Octo and sting ray?

I was wondering if you can keep an octo and a sting ray in the same tank? I am moving my 90g into a 125 and my girlfriend wants something truly exotic and I have been really facinated by these two creatures. Also would this be enough room for them both?

A stinkray has a barbed tail. A octos skin is very delicate. The ray could get freaked and damage the octos skin with its barb. Or the Octo could ink and you would be changeing water all the time. Octos are best kept in a species only tank. If you want something to put in with a ray get a eel.

Hi,
If you do go for a stingray be careful. this is something that I have also kept in the past. STAY AWAY from the blue spotted ribbontail rays! They dont last long in captivity. Most are very stressed when they arrive with us and die soon after.
There is one species called Urolophus which can be acclimated easier but unless you have lots of experience it will be tricky.

The rays that i have kept enjoyed eating lots of food. One of their favourites was octopus!

Bob Fenner's website has a lot of good info about the stingrays...
