Here's an odd one.
System is 70gallon net with a 65gal DT on the main floor and a 40gal sump in the basement furnace room.
Have digital thermometers on a reef keeper - one in the sump to control the system heaters( also in the sump). And one in the DT as a reference.
During the day, when the house thermostat upstairs is set to 70f the display is always 1-2f cooler than the sump.
At night when the thermostat in the house is set to 64f, the temps in the DT and sump are the same.
I can't figure this out. If temps are stable overnight, why the variation during the day?
Any ideas?
