My Dad passed tonight Suddenly. 30+ yrs with the St. Police. So unexpected. Do not take things for granted as they always say. Still in shock. I can't believe it. So young. Died working on what he loved most. How to manage the loss. So much was never discussed in case of just such an event. I feel so lost. Retirement in March. Wish he was conscious and able to acknowledge my presence......

Thanks everyone. The NYSP have been so very supportive through all this. A major loss. I should have the obituary in Mondays paper. He was with NYSP aviation for 30 + yrs and set to retire at age 58 in March He had a tragic accident on the boat. So sad & sudden. Unreal
