Oil in new stream 6000??

Yesterday I bought one of Stream 6000.
When I try to disassemble hole pump I found some
kind of oil around the rotor of the pump.
Is this normal?
And It is reef safe?
Or I had to clean this oil before usage?

It is glycerin and it is harmless. We put it in the pumps to prevent any parts from sticking in storage.

Thats good to know as I just opened up my TS24 kit and thought "Is this oil?"


By the way, I'm very very impressed with them.
