opportunity and have acgro flat worms, red bugs or monti eating nudis, would sell a frag knowing you have them just for a profit? I know its a question that people probably wouldnt want to be honestly but its a poll sort of so and its being asked for a reason.

A. You would not as you would feel bad that you spread the wealth.

B. Ponder it back and forth and might or might not.

C. Sell it and go buy more frags with the dough you just got.

If I get enough responces I might tell why.

I would NOT sell a frag if I knew it or my tank was infected.

I wouldn't even think about it.

I would not knowing sell a frag with a pest. I also would not buy something that i saw a pest on. however these pest spead because there hard to see.

wouldnt sell/trade anything that i thought was questionable......got into this hobby for personal enjoyment not profit.

I personally would not sell anything that is contageous to anyone, i pride my self on progressing the hobby and we start spreading diseases throughout the hobby is a way that we will bring it to an end. something we are all working so hard to preserve.

definatly not. and i dont see why anyone in for profit would either seeing how the buyer, as well as anyone the buy talks to would not buy from this person.....

why? who sold you some bad stuff?

I would not knowingly sell anything that had a pest on it. Nor would I buy from anyone that I know unless I knew 100% that it was safe (even then, I am not sure).

I dunno what "acgro flat worms" are, but I make it clear that my tank has red and brown flatworms (I hardly ever see them anymore), and I've never had a problem selling frags. In fact, I usually end up thinking I should have charged more, because they go so fast.

i would sell a frag that is infested, however i would inform the buyer. Some feel that most of the problems can be cures with a quartine tank. I have purchases problem frags recently and with a quartine system have no worries anymore.

Buyers should also treat ever single coral as a infected coral anyways. There is no if and or buts. I think a seller should inform a buyer and the price may reflect the infestation but it is the buyers responsibility to quartine.

The good old days where you can place a coral after acclimation is long past gone. Wake up people.

No way. A lot of LFS's are good at screwing people over, so I try to keep it an honest hobby by not passing along disease/pests.

I am not a business man, so I would never knowingly do that. Thats also why i'm not planning on becoming a business man! My conscience would drive me crazy if I did that. That being said, I know people that would, unfortunatly.

OK how many NO's do you need in response before you tell why you asked the question wentreefgirl?
