One or Two 6000's on 75g SPS/Clam Tank

I am looking to get one or two 6000's for my 75g SPS/Clam tank. This tank has a 3 inch southdown sand bed. I tried one 6060 and I could not place it without creating bare spots in the tank. SHould I go with one or two of the 6000's (or one 6000 and a wavebox)?

I think 1 6000 and the wavebox is the way to go based on my personal tank.

I think I will start out with one 6000 with single controller and see how it goes. I am not sure I want to shell out $800 right away!!
