Thinking about buying it, does not have all the gizmo's and pressure gauge like the typhoon 3 but its cheaper.

What do you guys think? Should I buy it, it looks easy 3 easy connections is all, or should I wait to get a typhoon 3 extreme?

meter, good,... pressure guage, not necessary in springfield... Water pressure runs about 60psig..

I don't think the pressure guage or the TDS meter is necessary. However, they can both be useful in tracking down problems with your RO/DI system when they develop. The pressure guage can help spot a pressure drop or obstruction upstream of your unit that can cause reduced output of pure water. This probably is important on a water system with consistent pressure. The TDS meter on the other is very useful to verify (and periodically check) the quality of your finished product, so that you can guage the quality of your RO membrane or DI resin.

Basically what john said...

The pressure gauge can give you an indication when backpressure causes the PSI to go down (clogged filters resulting in decrease in RO output). A pressure gauge combined with TDS meter (which are frequently off or become inaccurate) can aid you in evaluating the effectiveness of your RO/DI system.

Do you need them...no. If you change your components when you are supposed to then you should not have any problems.

AirWaterIce is da bomb. It's the only company that I know of on here where if you try to link to it RC doesn't allow it.
Here in Springfield you probably don't need the pressure gauge, but a TDS meter is very helpful to determine when the DI resin is done. You can get an HM meter for cheap on ebay.
