Orange streak on the glass

Hi,

I just saw an orange path on the wall of my aquarium. I am not sure what these are. Could they be some fish's egg?

Also I recently purchased 4 snails to take care of my algae problem. Now I see like 500 small snail like spiral thing sticking on the wall.

can someone tell me if these are good for the tank or not?

Those spiral things are eggs and they'll eventually hatch and you'll have a boom in the snail population in your tank. If there is enough food the snails will last for some time if not you'll have a die back as the snail population will only be as large as the tank can support.

I would consider it a good thing in the tank as the snails are breathing.

So how do I approach this mishap? Do I have to clean all the possible eggs off? If they die, woudl they spoil my tank?


And also whats the orange color streak on the Glass are those some sort of eggs as well?

The eggs will either hatch or be eaten by some thing in the tank. If they hatch some thing could still eat them or if they die some thing will also eat them. I wouldn't worry about it as the size of the snails would have much if any impact on the tank.

As for the Orange streak you really need to post a picture as it's hard to tell what it is as it could be anything.
