ORP Probe calibration

I know there are a couple of threads on this... But I still need help.. I've got aquacontroller 2.. In the manual it says to Create a saturated solution of Quinhydrone and pH 7.00.. Then do the same with ph 4.00.. What is Quinhydrone and where would I get it?? I'm guessing its a powder since you make a saturated solution.. I've did some searching with not much luck.. Thanx in advance

Check ebay for the quinhydrone. It's a black powder.

There is also a manual calibration method, but you have to know the secret handshake. Search this forum for details.

No luck on ebay But thanks for the reply.. I found the "secret handshake lastnight " second menu on self test.. "Up twice,, Down twice.. Select" But I would rather set the scale with the two point method.. I just can't seem to find any quinhydrone.. Does neptune sell it?

Aquadyne (makes the Octopus controller) sells a pH/ORP calibration kit that comes with the quinhydrone. I found it at www.customaquatics.com , product # EL-AD65200121 for ~$26.
