Osmolator questions

First of all I would like to say how much I love my tunze stuff!

As for my osmolator I have the return pump in a 20 gallon glass tank and I can not keep the pump to stay upright. Is there any trick to getting it to stay upright or anything I can buy?

Also, what are the two different voltages on the power supply for the osmolator for?

It doesn't particularly matter that the pump isn't upright. If it bothers you, you could try siliconing a piece of 2" PVC to the bottom of the sump with holes drilled in it to let water in, then just drop the pump down the center. When you use the pump in our reservoir the pump is suspended by the cord and hose so it's weight keeps it upright.

Only 9 and 12V are applicable. 12V gives more power but shortens pump life. Basically the transformer is a standard mass market transformer that we adopted for use with the Osmolator. In fact if you go to Fry's or any other electronics shop you will see the same transformer marketed under a half dozen brands.
