Stepping up its challenge to brick-and-mortar retailers, Amazon.com is launching a new shipping feature Thursday that will let shoppers buy a product on its website by noon and have it delivered by 9 p.m., seven days a week.

The new service, called Prime Free Same-Day Delivery, will be available on more than 1 million products and in 14 metropolitan areas in the United States, including Seattle. There will be no shipping cost for members of Amazon's $99-a-year Prime service, as long as the order tops $35.

I buy almost everything from Amazon.. probably 99% of my reefing equipment.. medications, salt, everything.. hope they are part of the 1 day delivery

I agree. The overall value of the upsell on same day shipping will far exceed its convenience. "Amazon all the things"

My return pump went out. I ordered it with prime yesterday and it showed up today.

I use to shop all the time from ebay but gradually switched to Amazon and haven't looked back since.

Plus, with Amazon prime you enjoy their video section

I think the big difference is Prime. No one can top free 2 day shipping. Hopefully 1 day soon. With a student email you can use prime for a year.
