OT: Anyone else into micro rc helicopters?

Azshooz, airhogs seam like a clicker car (anyone remember those??lol)compared to these bad boys. I think I paid like $30-40 for my airhog and this $45 puppy blows it outbid the water. Only downside for me is that I hit the draft from my AC and it crashes everytime, they are that lightweight.

Btw I've crashed about 7 times so far and it's good to go.

Told ya, this one is drastically different for a cheapy. The controls are actually pretty awesome. Still like my old airhogs / pico-z's as they were fun for the cash, but this one is lightyears beyond the old toys.

GArage, what modifications did you make to yours? I find mine won't go forward fast enough, thinking of weighing down the nose a bit like I did with my air hogs. Any ideas??

Brookstone @ Scottsdale Fashion has some mini rc copters for $30, or 2 for $50. I didn't stop to look, just noticed them as I was walking towards Kona Grill.

I took the canopy off and noticed the weight inside was just over the led. I moved it to the very far front. I also moved the battery about 3-4mm forward. It helped but need more out of the rear prop. I tried changing the rear prop with one of my airhogs versions but the prop spins 180 of the s107's so I had to press down to get it to go forward "I could reverse the polarity on the motor for a fix" it did fly forward much faster but reverse stinks now" so looking for a better rear prop with a larger blade or more pitch to the blade.

Be carefull, there are 50 crap helicopters for every 1 good one on the market. I must have tried 10 from fried electronics "frys" and all were 110% crap, most of which would not make it off the ground.

Garage, how do you think the s107 would do with some extra weight added to it? I'd like to add a couple floats to be able to land on water, I'm looking for a little lunch time fun for the lake. Thoughts?

Garage thinks.... Not so much... buy an rc boat. These things, well the s107 is more for indoor / little to no wind or airflow flying.

Tried mine in the backyard for about 10 seconds. Stay inside. RC boats are awesome too!
