OT: Anyone here go to the shooting range?

I usually go to GAT, but there is another place opening in Lombard opening in the next few weeks. Most places allow a non-FOID holder to shoot with with someone who has one. I am also looking for people to go with. We should organize a CMAS shooting club! A club within a club!

We just picked up a gsg 522 sd and a walther p22 and I'm itching to go shoot em. I ordered a dot sight yesterday but it won't be here till Monday or so I was hoping to sight the gsg but the steels will have to do. And yes we need to start a shooting club. I work 6 days 70+ hours a week Sunday is my only fun day.
 
I'd love to go to Buffalo since I've never been to an outdoor range. We should all head out there on a Sunday before it gets too cold. The "pit", rapid fire, and outside all sound like a lot of fun :)
 
Last time I was at MegaSports they wouldn't allow non-foid card holders to shoot. Just looked at the range rules on their site and it says Patrons must present A valid FOID card to use the range.

GAT has been redone recently I believe and it much better from what Ive heard. They do still allow you to shoot if you don't have a FOID as long as the owner has one.

I might have to dust off my Baretta and go out one of these weekends myself. :thumbsup:
 
Lol after coupon code and gift card I found online for free the dot site cost $15 and from the 300+ reviews say its a great sight.
 
I've been to ottawa a bunch of times. It is a lot of fun and they do allow a non-FOID holder to shoot as long as someone with a FOID signs their paperwork as well. The nice thing about it is I can take my rifle and shoot things in the pit.

MegaSports in plainfield is where I shoot my Beretta and Browning .22LR pistols.

JR Shooting sports is good if it is close to you, if you have anywhere else to go semi near you I would go there instead of JR. In my experience the staff at JR is not the friendliest and I shot there for probably 2-3 years at least once a month. their range is really nice though.
 
I would love to get a shoot together some time.
There is a place in Johnsburg for shot gun. Anyone shoot clays?
