Yea, I'm with FishWrangler on this. My wife is pretty awesome, she'd never run one down and she'd let me keep one if I really wanted, but man she would NEVER pick up a random snake in the road. I can't picture too many people I know, guy or girl who would do that.

Anyway, congrats on the snag.

She knew it was a ball python when she saw it and knew they are very docile. Any other snake and she probably would have called the cops and not touched it

Soooo. For anyone interested, we measured the snake tonight and it measured in at 46" just 2" shy of being a 4 footer.

Awesome find! I had 2 ball pythons about 12 years ago. Their great snakes, very docile.

The snake my wife found unfortunately died yesterday. I'm not exactly sure what happened to her but she had 2 big lumps in her midsection like she ate a few animals and I'm wondering if it was something she couldn't digest and got plugged up or if she was just sick to begin with and maybe that's why someone let her go. But because I ended up having to buy an enclosure and I know I wouldn't get my money back trying to sell it I ended up buying another ball python.
