OT: Dog dander and air purifiers.

Somehow, I'm watching my in-laws dog several months while they sail around the Mediterranean.......AGAIN!!!!!

I wake up with read eyes and stuffy nose every day.

I read the first line against the dog hair is to have my wife thoroughly vacuum every day and we have started her doing that.

I'm also looking into air purifiers, which cost like protein skimmers. I don't want to spend $99.99 on one that doesn't Meet our needs, and I don't want to spend $1k+ if I don't need to.

Here is one I'm looking at but I would like real world experience

I'd get Honeywell HEPA filters; they have been making these for a very long time. These filters are somewhat loud so we run them opposite the occupancy of the room (i.e., living areas at night, bedrooms during the day). A friend has the BluAir filter and she liked it quite a bit.

Thank you for your reply :)

The blue air was on my short list but we happened into costco and got a pair of their $100 units. We have a year or 2 to decide if we like it or not. I'll update this thread with results.
