Ok, I can understand the statement about being a fan "no matter what" No Giants fan has ever said that in response to that. That is a long list, but think about it. This is only a small number compared to the countless others who aren't names here. A very sad day indeed

Just saw the headline on CNN.com....

....STEROID INVESTIGATOR SAYS PUNISH PLAYERS, MOVE ON.

Punish players, of course, but they really need to come down hard on the commish, MLB executives, and the owners. They cashed in on the naivete and benightedness of fans for years at the expense of the sport's integrity. Not to mention the influence it has had on today's youth.

I'm not a fan of baseball, but extreme penalties should be applied so that it's exemplar to all sports at every level.

This report just shows the little control Selig has on his league. But you must realize that this started somewhere, so who knows how many "All-Stars" were juicing. You must also consider the fact that contracts in this sport is GUARANTEED, so you will have some no namer juice to sign that one big contract and move on. As well this list has to be scrutinized how far did they investigate. Did they put people on the list from hear say? This is a mess. Baseball is a mess.

Who Cares?? The only thing that I am upset about is that Mcguire wasn't a first ballot Hall of Famer... Thats the real black eye for MLB... They should take the asterix off Bonds ball and put it on the hall of fame.. If Big Mac is noit a first time ballot guy..Who is?

Big Mac has no class. He is a bold face lier. Trust me i loved the A's and Big mac during the Bash Brother days. But why not come clean like Giambi?

WOW :eek1: I never liked him but still have respect for him. He was one of the few who didn't lie. If you are going to hate someone hate Sosa, Palmeiro ect... Macguire simply said he was not going to talk about the past.. Canseco and the others should be the ones who deserve to be beat up in the press. Big Mac got a raw deal IMO!

I dont think he got a raw deal. We both i think can agree he used steroids. So why not admit it? Giambi did. Dont like Palmeiro either and Sosa dont get me started on that cheater. Not only did he use steroids he even got caught with a corked bat

Yeah i saw that you are one of the Top people on this site that the Mods actually keep an eye out for and check almost all that you post.

Even without the whole steroids thing, Big Mac still would have had trouble geting in. First ballot is only reserved to those few people who truly belong. With that said, I wouldn't put him in on any of the ballots.
