a Cannon Elph sd-1000 was recommended by my scuba instructor. I got one with the underwater case and was thoroughly impressed with the functionality and quality of this reasonably priced camera. Garry Parr at the Photo clinic at Frag feast was even impressed with the quality of the images.

you talk in about a seperate underwater casing . cause' i already a canon sd630digital camera. i'm looking for one that goes from dry wet w/o any casing. there's one i'm looking is OLYMPUS STYLUS 850 or 1030. thanks
