Beautiful as always! An Acan garden would be awesome! Thats what im doing in my tank.
I already have 8 different types of Acans. One of my favorites LPS corals.

i love them but problem is both finding them and affording them lol we will get there but its so far the direction we may head , the alternative was a small red or blue carpet anemone but small spaces and these species dont mingle well especially with the tang and the two wrasses in there now:)

thanks for the kind words im glad you like more to come soon!!

Crazy! In another year the whole sand bed will probably covered that looks so cool.

Good Job keep up the pics

Cheers Dan

cheers

Wow how did I not see this before? The waterfall idea is so cool. I love the top down shots they remind me of diving on reefs and looking down a reef ledge.
I never had much luck with rics what is your secret?
Well done!

Imo Lower flow for sure , lighting I find they can tolerate but higher flow makes them small and small polyps wither away and die :)

My largest rics are probably 2-3" in size and shaded under the ledge and getting little flow unfortunately there not that viewable there so I'll have to settle with low flow only for now lol

Thanks I'm glad you like it we've put a lot of work and planning into this(I'm an aquarium designer) and so far it's lived up to what we expected although I do wish we went bigger lol the tank kinda fell in my lap for cheap and the planning started from there ;)

Cheers

Just one word comes to mind ..........WOW...........
It's one of the most beautiful tank. It's amazing to see how much you can do with creativity.

thanks , its a small reef so prob not as impressive as the famous volcanoe tank is or was but we put our own twist on the design and seems on all the forums and all those who get to see it in person really like the design and how it turned out:)

who knows maybe it will make totm some day :)

wow gorgeous tank. Waterfall is a great feature. Really sets your tank apart!

thanks , me and the wife had different paths we wanted to go she previously had a three sided waterfgall tank we custom deisgned and built so she wanted to expand on this but i wanted the volcanoe theme lol we met half way with this beauty:)

thanks for the kind words ,i still have to clean up the lines and finish the stand and all that good jazz but the idea is there and a year from now will look quite impressive:)

This is stunning!

were glad everyone enjoys it , def alot more to come with this tank so stay tuned on its future progress wev'e got a few tricks up our sleeves still to release:)

Time for a quick update :)

I have recently had both my gfo and carbon reactors clog (no surprise there lol) and we were getting some cyano but with a quick net mod to the tlf it's now almost impossible to clog and cyano disappeared as soon as they were back online.

We have increased our vinegar dose by 10mls a day and so far so good

We Have a mystery on our hands , shrimps are disappearing exoskeleton and all , it's either the pistol shrimp doing it or the Scott's fairy wrasse , theres no visable signs of anything what so ever and the tank is too small to hide ....the missing shrimp are small like sexy shrimp, anemone shrimps and a single small cleaner shrimp. The wrasse I've been watching like a hawk and it doesn't seem like he's interested at all in them but the pistol is elusive and is never seen only heard lol it's one of those two for sure

We added a cool little goby , a flaming prawn goby he's cryptic and isn't out much and about 1/4" to 1/2" in size , he has found the fire shrimp and lives side by side just doesn't come into the light so I have a crappy video I managed to take but does show him as well we took some pics in a white dish before adding him to the tank :)

Still having an issue with all the shrimps in the system picking at the clams , the wrasse works great at night but he's a 9 to 5 fish and night is when play time begins so its Time to find a night time worker :)

Finally lost the large blue maxima clam , after several fresh water dips for pinched mantle he would look ok then not the next week , the shrimps picked him to a stress point when I finally pulled it you can tell when it's time :(

Mot much room for corals anymore but We added some more dendro colonies to the dark area where the clam was sitting as well I've been adding some zoas around top and here and there :)

Wll post an up to date video tomorrow as well some fts pics we took :)

Cheers
