I am new to this forum and also a biginner in reef tank. Your article is very good. Could you tell me detail how to built a "gutter-guard" in the overflow box. Thanks very much.

There is no telling if Greg will check this forum but I will try to help you.
A "gutter guard" is plastic/nylon black mesh found at places like Home Depot and other hardware stores.
It is what you cover the gutters on the roof of your house with to keep leaves from clogging them up.
Basically you cut it to fit and attach it in place to keep snails and such from getting into your overflow box.
