oxygen tanks

When buying used tanks, make sure they are not owned by a gas corporation, or other company. They stamp their containers, & you will not be able to get them filled. They are stolen property untill the company goes out of business.

run a ca reactor for prob 10 years with that size lol

How would oxygen tanks run a calcium reactor at all?

Exactly....it would be illegal to fill them with CO2; this is regulated by IDOT, plus for these tanks....E-cylinders, you need a special regulator to fit on them, the normal CO2 regulator will not fit on there. If a person wanted to go through the hassle of pulling out the stem and replacing it with a new one so that the regulator will fit on there they could, but then they still would not be able to legally get them filled with CO2.

Errr agreed, they are not compatable. If so, they would be missing a lot of spare O2 tanks here at work ;)

You know what I mean Medic29 wink wink...
And I wouldnt even consider taking IV tubing for Kent Kalk Dosers!

Actually they can be converted, need to replace the Oxygen vlave for a CGA 320 valve, change color of the neck re-stamp it, pull vaccum, purge and fill. If necessary remove and replace all labels.

Note because CO2 is filled at a presure of around 1000 to 1200 psi, a regular CO2 cylinder is rated for 1800 psi.
An Oxygen cylinder has to be rated to 3000+ as it is filled at about 2,400 psi so in other words, an Oxygen Cylinder can be used in CO2 service but a CO2 cylinder can not be used in Oxygen service.
