Oyster beds!! How to!!

ok i'm new to the site and i was wondering, is it possible to create your oyster bed, what would one need to do so. i'm trying to find out for a friend of mine that has some property out in Bolivar and she would like to do that there for her personal use.

Are you trying to create one in the bay or in a tank somewhere? If in the bay you will need to check w/ the Parks & Wildlife Dept. about the regulations.

well i believe that her property has like a private canal that feeds into the bay not to sure. i know it's damed up. i think that's where she wants to setup the oyster bed.

I would tell her to check w/ the local game warden. They could tell her how to go about it. She will need to seed the bottom w/ old oyster shells to give the new ones something to attach to.
