Ozone injection port

So I've seen these a few skimmers and I'm curious what it's for. What do you use to add ozone to the skimmer and what purpose does it serve? Thanks for the help!

Anyone? Like all the vertex omega skimmers have this extra line going into the venturi and I'm curious what you use to actually use it. A quick Google search and I found Ozone injectors however they seemed to cost as much if not more than the skimmer itself.

In the old days skimmer's venturis were where we injected the ozone, it was and still is a good way to use ozone. Just run effluent over carbon to remove residual ozone. Ozone is an oxidizer and is great at helping to have great water quality.
