Paint for outside of tank

I used plasti-dip and love the stuff - but - think any paint should work. I just like the idea of being able to peel it off.

Last time I researched this, acrylic paint seemed to be the most recommended. Generally found in craft stores. I used a mini roller to put it on.

I second plasti-dip, worked great for a couple years and I was able to pull it right off when I was tired of the black background look

As an alternative to paint or plasti-dip, dark window tint also works quite well and comes off easy if needed.

I use to always use a rattle can for painting the back glass, but a friend suggested a small nap roller and latex paint.
It was some much easier and used less coats.
Never go back to rattle cans

Literally any paint on the outside of the tank will work and can be easily scrapped off.

Just be sure to paint it with the surface horizontal on the ground so it doesnt run.

Plasti-dip will be easier though.

On my most recent build I tacked a 1/8" sheet of black acrylic on the back. Now, I can use a magfloat on the back of the tank and not worry about slowly wearing through the paint or tint film.
