Does anyone have the link to the thread that showed the difference between male and female flames?

I don't have the link but the dorsal fins are more pointed on the male (blunt on the female)

Its recommended to put a very small one (female, undeveloped juvenile) and a large one (male) in a tank together to form a pair since they are protogynous hermaphrodites.Or, its not very decisive due to the many different geographical color variations of this species, but the males supposedly have more blue margin on the ends of the dorsal and anal fins and the bars that run verticlely across the body are much bolder and darker.

Thanks, I had what I think is a male and just added a small female(I think). So far so good!!

As long as they get along they should eventually form a male/female pair.
