PE Mysis shuts skimmer down for 12+ hours?

i finally got my hands on a pack of PE mysis. fish and corals love the stuff, but it shuts my skimmer down for at least 12 hours. i'm used to 15 minutes with other foods, but this is crazy. i melt it in a glass of tankwater, then dump as much of the water out before tossing in. i was hoping to include it in a freezer mush that i could feed 2-3 times a day, but then my skimmer would never do anything...

anyone else notice the same or different?

I thaw mine with water then strain out all the water with a net.
Then I rinse the mysis in the net with water.
Finally I put the net over a cup and use a turkey baster to shoot tankwater through the net to knock the mysis into the cup.

This seems to keep the packing juices to a minimum and I haven't noticed any issues with my skimmer shutting down. Try this and see if it helps maybe you aren't getting enough of the packing juice out.
