i have become quite interested in the "peninsula" style of aquariums. Seems like the people who have these aquariums are pretty proud of them so lets see em. thanks alot

wow you have got some nice clams. and that tank is georgous. how do you keep the flow at the end of the tank?

for flow now we have 2 seio 1500 + the return but we will be adding a closed loop soon.

i definitely will get another clam. i plan on getting either a crocea or maxima, or maybe both, once my cycling 40 is ready. i ended up getting 1 175w mh that has a 65w actinic & 65w 10,000k pc on it. does this sound like enough light on a 40 regular for crocea & maxima?

yes you should be fine. what K is the MH?

the mh is also 10,000k. it came with 20,000k but i bought the 10,000k bulb & switched it with the 20,000k.

R both of those seio's at the one end? if so does that provide enough flow all the way at the other end of the eank? And do you find that at the "buisness" end of the tank there is too much flow?

they are both at the same end,and there is alot more flow at that end then the far end, thats why im going to do the closed loop.im going to keep the seios in the same spot and just drop 4 or 6 pipes down at the far end and that should help alot

great, i can't wait for the tank to be ready! i have at least 3 weeks more to go. the amonia is dropping already but of course that's not the end of the cycle by any means.

take your time before you add a Clam. they do best in a mature, stable tank
