perfect alkalinity

What do you guys think is the perfect alkalinity?

I had mine as high as 13, and my lps didnt like it... I let it drop down to 10.5 and the lps and softies are much happier...

SPS really dont seem to care it seems..

With a calc reactor and a kalk reactor... anything under 10 is pretty impossible.

My calc is 450-480

Im about the same with mine dripping kalk my range is 9.9 - 11.8

Within a general range seems to work just fine (usually about 9-11 dKH or 2.9-4.0 meq/L.

Perfect for me is 8 dKH. I've had the best luck at this level.

I keep mine at about 8-10....... Seems to work well for me and my tank seems to naturally want to stay at that level.

Has anyone had any problems at 13? My LPS seemed irritated, and my turaki started rtning.

i run mine at about 8.5. i can go hiher or lower but i figure why, its working great where it is at now and stability is more important than a number
