Peroxide for algea killing?

I know you can use peroxide to kill FW algeas. I have a creeping gracelaria sp. I need to eradicate as it is encroaching corals. I was wondring if I pull the LR out, can I spot treat the algeas with peroxide to kill it? Is their anything short of physically removing the algea that will work?

I would not add hydrogen peroxide to a reef aquarium with algae problems. Too much risk to the other inverts. I can't think of any reason it will be more prone to being killed with peroxide than many of the creatures that you want to keep.

I would not add it. Once I added a couple drops to the refugium, then theese small feather dusters closed up from it. Probably irriated by it.

I supose fish and corals would be equaly annoyed by it. Dangerous stuff.

I was thinking about removing the LR and spot treating the rock out of the tank.. therefore limiting exposure to other inverts. At this mpoint I am ready to sacrifice a little life to kill this algea...
