Pet Shop In Irvine...

There is a pet shop located in Irvine at the Spectrum called Spectrum Pets (or something like that) that has about a 200 gallon SW tank with plenty of LR covered in coraline... this tank has a few fish in it, along with some clams...but the ones that stand out the most are the 3 Yellow Tangs... these poor fish are so skinny... there ribs look as if they could be practically OUTSIDE of there body...:eek1: i was so upset when i saw this, i asked the worker that was there what the issue was, she told me that it was the morning shift that was in charge of feeding the fish.... i then asked if I could see the fish eat... she proceded to feed the Tangs and Fish KENT MARINE "ZooMax"! i instructed her that, that was NOT FISH FOOD... told her to feed it some Formula One... Spectrum... or any other flake or pellet... when the girl told me that she has a 200 gallon at home, this bothered me even more! (*WHATEVER! )Not suprised...they didn't even have any fish food / pellets / flakes there... This tank has been neglicted longer then i wish to know.... If anything....What could be done about this... !

anyone in Oranghe should really go take a look at these poor fish and strongly urge them to feed them next time i am in the area i will be donating some Formula II and Brine....

If you are ever in the area...please stop in and ask the workers to feed those tangs

Oh today I was at the navy recruiter in Costa mesa... there is a massage therapy place next door with a football sized lion fish in say a 40-50 gallon tank full of dead coral decorations. I saw that the tank maintainer was there replacing the coral decorations but has no thought about maybe replacing the fish with one more suitable for the size tank. It looked like the fish could not even turn around. Very disappointing!
