I put a teaspoon of some PH buffer directly into my tank without dissovling it in freshwater. I made my frogspawn shrink within seconds. Is this normal? Only 2 out of the 8 shrivled up. They are in direct flow.

Neec awnser ASAP.

I have had the same thing happen. It is either an acid or base used depending on wether you want to lower or higher it. Both of them undisolved would cause a coral to pull itself in to avoid this "sting" It should dissolve and i would bet everything will be fine. I would for sure mix it in a bucket next time 1st. I wouldnt worry to much.

Yeah, seriously. When you're adding chemicals to your tank, be very careful to follow the instructions!! Something else and it could have really done a number.
