i want to run a controllr on my calcium reactor does it matter if iput the electrode in the tank or does it have to be put in the reactor?.

I run my controller in the tank, if the Ph drops below 7.8 the CO2 shuts off. Once you dial a rector in, the reactors Ph should remain steady. Dial the reactor in by starting a Co2 bubble rate of around 50-60 per minute...then set the effluent drip rate at a level that keeps the reactor effluent at 6.5. Test your alk daily, shoot for 8 dkh. If its trending down, run the reactor harder. If its trending up, run it with less CO2 and a lower drip rate. Just watch the trend, and test once a day until stable.

Just watch it drip out...say 120 drips a minute to start. Then adjust every 8 hours to maintain a ph of 6.5 comming out of the reactor. A slower rate will lower the ph in the reactor....a faster rate will raise it.
