pharmacy alcohol for cleaning purpose

That is what I used, just the Wal-mart brand. Make sure you clean thoroughly and give plenty of time for it to air out.

Alcohol is probably the most economically feasible way to clean any glass. Just try not to get it on vinyl or plastic.
It should evaporate completely and not leave any residual film.
We got a hold of some hospital grade adhesive remover that works great on label adhesive. Even on PLASTIC! but I would follow it up with alcohol for sure.

Thank you guys! :lmao:

I took my 90 gal BF RR assembly inside from garage last night. Now I can proceed to clean it up. Can't wait to fill it up.

REEFKEEPA:

You mentioned don't apply alcohol on plastic. Does that include PVC? My whole plumbing is done with PVC pipes. I'd like to remove lables on them too.

No Ibear, PVC is resistant to both wood and grain alcohol. On that just don't use nail polish removers that contain acetone. I was talking about acrylic plastic used for tanks. Only some acrylic plastics are alcohol safe and and they are not generally used for aquarium construction. Don't spill your Jack Daniel's on your tank!!! :D
