Phosphate and SPS

I started running a GFO reactor with rowa media to combat a green hair algae problem. My GHA has almost completely vanished, phosphates are zero, but the corals don't look happy. They are not opening as much, and no growth. I have an ATI light that has led and T5s.

Do your thriving SPS tanks like it a little dirty?

Would you dial back the GFO, or feed more?

Appreciate any thoughts or suggestions.

Thanks,

Howard

You are likely starving them. IMO you don't want zero nitrates and zero phosphates. Corals live off if it . You want a trace of them. Try feeding the fish a little more?

Thanks, I'll try feeding more. Just trying to figure out the balance of feeding the corals and not getting hair algae.
