Phosphate in nano's with HOB equipment?

Whats your method of dealing with phoshate in nano tanks without sumps?

Put a bag of Seachem PhosGuard in your HOB.

I use a TLF reactor with GFO and carbon and weekly water changes.

Gfo in a filter sock, set it right into the hob filter.
I found out that the finer mesh ones work better... The one for my carbon didn't contain it very well and threw gfo into the tank.

I have two little fishes reactors. One for carbon and another for GFO. Been helping out a lot.
