ok, i just got my current orbit set up, 4x65 watts (2x65 watt daylight and 2x65 watt dual actinics and moonlights.) i still need to purchase some timers but can someone help me with the photoperiod (best time for lights to turn on and off) i know i seen a thread here about the same thing but i cant seem to locate it again.

Also, what type of corals can i keep under these lighting conditions? so far i have 1 softie and a gorgonian. i would like to keep some star polyps mushrooms, and some frogspawns but would like to know if my lighting is sufficient.

well depends all on you. If you work during the day and you want it on while your there then adjust it for that. I had my lights on at 12:00pm and off at 10:30pm. At 12:00pm the actinics came on for 1 hour the the daylights at 1:00pm then daylights off at 9:30pm and the actinics off at 10:30pm. HTH

yeah i work during the day so i m going to adjust the lighting when i get my timers. so actinics on 1 hour before daylights turn and 1 hour on after daylights turn off...got it.

now corals.......can i keep what i listed ( polyps, shrooms, frogspawns) in this lighting?

I think you will be fine. Would try to keep sps and calms with that light but should work fine for polyps and lower light critters.
