Here are some pictures of my Ricordea florida illustrating how their colours change in different light intensities. All of my blue and orange R. florida are clones of a single colony (one blue colony and one orange colony) that I collected myself in the florida keys many years ago. The orange's were collected at ~40ft. The blues were collected around 50ft. The greens come from several colonies of different shades of green: all greens were collected at ~20ft.

First, my Ric's on the bottom of my 75 with 2x250 HQI MH shaded from direct light.

Blue's and greens look great, but oranges are very dull.

Here is an orange that was moved from the bottom/shade to direct light at mid-level 5 weeks ago.

Here are orange and blue at the top of my old 125 with 3x250 SE MH. Sorry, these pictures are not quite as good as the others, they were taken 4 years ago and I was not quite as skilled behind the camera.

As you can see, the Blue's look much better in very low light, while oranges are far more intense under bright light. The green's look the same both in high and low light, so I only included one picture.
