I found a nice photosynthetic stereonepthya with a white body bright pink/purple polyps. I can't find much info on this genus?

Anyone have an experience with the care/requirements? Similar to other nepthea?

Sorry to burst your bubble, but there is no species of *Scleronepthea* that is photosynthetic to my knowledge.

There are Neptheas, Scleroneptheas and Dendroneptheas.

the ONLY Genus of these three that are photosynthetic are Neptheas, which make beautiful additions...

The others feed off of disolved orangics, bacterial blooms, algaes, phytoplankton, zooplankton etc...
and do not utilize light as a major food source.

Are you sure what you have is a Scleronepthea?

Acctually that looks like Chironepthea to me...

Either way, still a bad species for aquariums...

There has been some research with the Waikiki(sp?) Aquarium in Hawaii on
Dendros,Scleros,Steros,Chiros etc...
Found that they like Squid Juice and phyto.

These seem to be natures Vacuum cleaners!

if it isnt either a Neospongedes Leather, Nepthea or any other species simular in color and growth... then your swimming upstream.... trying to keep these non-photosynthetic leathers alive is next to impossible!
