Wow, $150 for a coral...........for ME, that is ALOT!!, but for an experienced hobbyiest, its a great addition to their tank, good luck, it is beautiful!!

Wow, great job Chris!!! That was really fast training it to come out with the lights on! Looks incredible. What are you doing? Just feeding earlier?

Yep, that's it. For the past two days I've used the water bottle method as soon as the MH's go off. It takes a little while for it to open up and feed, but atleast it's opening up! It seems to stay out a little longer each time before closing, I'm hoping this trend will continue, and I can start trying to feed when the MH's are on!

Well like many of us in this hobby have found, if you want the nice stuff, you will have to pay to get it.

There are a few things that I won't pay for, for example $150 for a zoo polyp, etc... But this was for a nice coral, that I hope will grow into a show piece one day!

Sweet! I love them..don't feel bad, I paid the same for mine. Feed it well and it will reward you with many new polyps. Mine loves squid, it gets the fattest after a chunk. I shove it right in it or the shrimp steal.:D

Very cool, I'm feeding mine with the lights on, I'm using the bottle method too, what I do is I put some of the juge in first and when opens a little I put food in a combination of mysis, brine, selcom, squid, shrimp, scalops, formulat 1, 2, some flakes.. etc. I made my own food about 3 weeks ago :), mine takes about 5 mintues to open fully when all lights are off, stays open all night I think, it's open when I get up around 6 am. It's all worth it! next coral I want is a duncan :)

That's too funny, I want a Duncan too!!!

I think mine stays open all night as well. It's a beautiful coral!

Nice picture Carole!

Do you have any full tank shots you could post? What type of fish is above your foxface?

Thanks! It is a female Bellus angel...she is a great fish. I can post some pics..I only have a few since the move, need to take some more. This was when a few things were still ticked off. I'll start a thread.;)

Do you have anymore pics of her? How big will she get? I'm looking for some nice fish for my 120, it's currently only home to a Mandarin, and a Blood Shrimp.

She won't get much bigger than she is. I can work on a new pic. Fairy wrasses or a harem of anthias would make an awesome display for you. I like to add fish that stay in different areas, as in a few that swim the water column, a few that perch, some that like a cave, etc. Gobies and blennies are some of my favorites. I would love to have a Red Sea Regal angel some day...when I get a big enough tank.;) You also cannot beat the personality of a foxface or rabbitfish, they are great at helping with algae as well...but are sweet. Not crazy like some tangs can be. If money is'nt an option I would get a black tang.

Here's a pic of her after I just got her. Her tail has grown into more of a point on both ends, and she has grown an inch or so.
