Pic of my new green squamosa

I just wanted to show off my new tank addition. It is just over 5 inches wide. The color is what sold me. It is everything from emerald green to turqoise with the typical brown background color. This clam made my large Derasa sitting next to it look quite ugly!

Very nice clam. Squamosa clams are my personal fav. May I ask how much you paid for that clam?

Of course. I paid $99. I think that I got a good deal. It was the largest one, and the only blue/green one that they had. The rest were the normal brown/gold. In the few days that it has been in my tank the colors have actually gotten better! It was under 6500k bulbs at the LFS and is now under my 14.5k megachromes, so I am assuming that the added blue spectrum has something to do with that.

Clam experts, is this a typical coloration for captive reared Squamosa?

Nice clam, I just bought one 6" localy in Northern Cali and mine have yellow/green spots with blue dot in the center on the spots ... will post a pix as soon as I get my new Digital camera
