My 3 fish seem very happy and healthy. Not the prettiest tank on here, but I am proud of it. The maintenance is pretty low, just as easy as a freshwater tank in my opinion. So for anyone new, you don't necessarily have to have a lot of high tech equipment to have a pretty salt water tank. I use wal-mart water, a cheap hydrometer, and started with a lot of base rock. Now you can barely tell what was base and live. By the way the red corals are fake pieces but the mushrooms are real. They are thriving under a regular double flourescent light fixture.

HEHE I was about to ask what that pretty red coral was!!!

I like it! where are you going with this tank? do ya know?

my 29 was like that, but with alot more rock...

I was planning to set up a 75 hopefully in the near future. I would really like to have a tang in my tank when I get the 75. Right now I can't have anymore fish of any kind, because mine have gotten so territorial. That psuedo is mean I tell you, lol. Does anyone have any suggestions for my tank. By the way my digital camera isn't the best, so the tank looks better than the pics.

if you have low-lights, go ahead and make a softie tank: zoanthids, leathers, if your up to feeding alot and often look into suncorals... more shrooms

Well I only have about 30 watts of light so I don't think I can do that without getting another fixture right? I don't know that much about lighting. I made sure I put my mushrooms near the top of the tank b/c of the low light situation. I don't think I have enought light for anything else.
