Will be tagging along for progress.
How old is your tank?
Love the pics! what lens combination are you using?

The tank is 3 months old. I'm sure I have a few pictures of the tank before I bought half of the tank from my cousin. Not so quality photos but I'll dig them up.

These images were taken with the Nikon D700 + 24-70mm f/2.8. Might get a macro lens but I need to be able to justify it.

Great pics. The tank looks great. Where did you get the torch from.

The torch your referring to is actually a bi-colored hammer. I got it and the frogspawn from the PBMAS frag swap, it was from one of the commercial vendors.

Thanks for the comments guys. I'm lucky we have locals with nice corals, might be frags but it's nice to see them progress as they grow.

OK, so when can I come over, LOL! Really sweet pics and nice frags. When those grow out, I'll hit you up :D

What kind of sand did you use and do you have any issues with the vortechs kicking it up? I'm a bit worried about that being my tank will be shallower.

Nice pics. Crystal clear. 100mm macro?

I gotta find time, I think I still have your number so I'll text you and see when we are both free. Initially I had some problems with sand getting kicked up but over time it settled and hasn't given me a problem. A small area needs to be addressed as some of the egg create that I placed under the sand is showing.

I have a background in photography, main reason why I have and know how to use the equipment properly. ;)

Very nice picture and tank. How do you like the mesh screen?

The mesh screen is great, I wish I didn't have to run it but with one of my clowns carpet surfing I had to address it. I'll have more pictures of the set up in a few days.

I need to start messing with my camera, been too lazy.
If you are looking for macros, tamron makes excellent 90mm and they offer them with student rebates for about 350 with rebates.

Good to know, I've seen excellent results with the Tamron version but I'm an all out guy. Go big or go home, so that means I'll end up with the Nikkor 105mm.

Sigma 105 macro is also nice, and not too expensive (relatively). I wish I would have bought the Canon 100mm. I cheaped out. The sigma takes great pics, but I like the internal focusing mechanism of the Canon. The Canon 100L is just ridiculously priced!
