Pictures of some new clams

Here's some new clams I got the other day. I believe the first one is a derasa, and the rest are maximas, but not positive on that.
 
last one, the gaper. It's recovering, though, and was gaping a whole lot more when I got it (couldn't pass it up for $25 a clam).

In my opinion that first clam is a maxima (almost positive) if not it is a squamosa. There's no way it is a derasa. :)

Firechild: just curious, but how can you tell it's not a derasa? Is it because there seems to be some slight fluting on the shell?
 
Yup, the first one is a Squamosa. :)

Why are most of your clams green? Is it your lights? Just courious. Very nice looking clams.

Agreed - the first one is a squasomosa. You can tell by the color pattern of the mantle as well as the scutes. Derasas have a completely smooth shell and Maximas scutes are closer together.
