pink plate

hi all,
my fungia's (pink plate) tenticles are only seem to be active at night
is this normal?
it did eat a piece of mysis shrimp today. i have only had him for 2 days

Give it some time to acclimate. I have 2 plate corals and the tentacles come out a lot more at night but they do extend during the day as well but just not as long.

also i was wondering...there was a brittle sea star that hitchiked in on it. it now lives on its underside, should i give the star a new place to live or is it ok there???
