Looks like a bristle worm to me. Mixed reviews but typically fine. I have tons in my tank

I just found some sort of coral :D Yay, he seems to dislike the light, closes up if I have it on (found him in LR in sump)

Hoping for an ID so I can find out more!!

I believe these are "Flatworm - C. retrogemma or the "Red Menace". http://www.lionfishlair.com/hitchhiker/hitchhiker.shtml says to watch them. Can anyone confirm this identification?

Any thoughts on keeping them or flushing them? They are in my QT at the moment. Glad I QT everything!

Thanks ZB

Very new to this, and I saw someone post a similar pic but didn't see a response, it's the only thing living in my newly set up aquarium, I purchased it used with lots of dried live rock so this must have come in on some "living" LR I purchased from big al's to help seed. Not sure if it needs to go or not, and if so, how. FYI I'm planning on adding fish in about 2 weeks and coral later on down the road after everything is settled.

Okay so I got split off into two pages as a result of technical difficulties, here's the original post with pic:

bought a button coral a few months ago...had green polyps and on one end of the rock had small red polyps which looked really good
over the months the red polyps disappeared and only the green were there
then the green polyps all of a sudden stayed closed maybe for a few days so I gave them a dip in coral cure....all the time I am thinking that the pearl butterfly might have been having a feast on the polyps or maybe the banner fish but have never seen them near the corals just browse around
well questions have been answered ...found a red/orange nudibranch over 1"long in the protein skimmer chamber....got the critter ....must have run out of things to eat after finishing off the red button coral
so what do I do with it now ....lawn fertiliser or sump???????

Put him in the sump, looks like a gorilla crab

Before I start removing them, can someone please confirm (or deny?) that this is some sort of flatworm that might get out of control?

Please tell me this is a harmless snail, because he looks really cool...

Look closely at the inside tips of its claws.
Do you see a round shape, like a melon baller?
