Hello,

I took this photo and I think it's one of my best ever. However I'm only an amateur and I'd like to know what you guys think.

Scale 1-10 ?
Comments?

Nice shot.... it looks like it was over-sharpened a bit.
It also seems to be a bit grainy, can you post an unedited original as well?

Excellent capture though!

Nice shot! You did well.

Hope you don't mind, but I played around a little with your original. I've recently picked up a copy of CS2 and haven't spent enough time getting to know it better.

I cropped your shot and cleaned up the area to the left side of the clown. Other than that I just did a small levels adjustment for contrast.

It's really nice - it's sharp, clear with good colors.

You might try without the pop-up flash, you'll get even better results.

Thanks for all the comments.

mgregg99, I like your cropping and touch ups better but the yellow from the flash is distracting.

I agree with all the flash comments, but I have a real hard time getting the right coloration if I don't use the flash. I'm running 3x 250w 14K bulbs and everything turns out too blue or has a dark washed out look. I'm not sure how I can solve this without the flash...

This particular picture was actually taken in the dark. Well almost anyway.. there was one halide on the opposite end of the tank on. (5.5' tank / and ambient room light shining in)

heres what it would look like more as in tank probably, just some level correction and a little layering (photoshop)

Hmmm... The frogspawn coloring is way off.

Here is a picture of the same frogspawn with near identical color to what I see in the tank.

(this was awhile ago when it was a lot smaller)

Rather than using your flash when lights are out in the tank try using some sort of spot light. It is a great shot but after looking at the original I think you cropped too much out.
