so i am going to run a bean animal drain with an emergency drain. all the holes are going to be one ince fittings from the bulkheads. I want to have 2 seaswirls on the return and i was wondering if someone could help me figure out the sizes i need. i am going to be running the Jebao DC-6000 which is 1585 GPH.
here are the specs:
http://www.championlighting.com/product.php?productid=69305&cat=0

the flow rate on the 1 inch model sea swirl is 1150 GPH
the flow rate on the 3/4 inch model sea swirl is 850 GPH
and the flow rate on the 1/2 inch model sea swirl is 550 GPH

now i just need to figure out what fits... lol

thanks in advance! my strength is not plumbing...

i dont know if i did it right.. but it said just over 1000.

so I would think that two 1/2 inch sea swirls would work? im a total nube with these... so any guidance?

Two 3/4" will handle the flow, but use 1" if you want a slower velocity from the Sea Swirls. If the tank is going to be SPS dominated I would lean towards the 3/4", 1" for a soft corals with only a few SPS corals.

I will have basically all sps and some lps and one leather... Lol maybe a colony or two of Zoas and zero mushrooms
