Plumbing Questions for closed loop

I have a 110G tank "48x18x30"

Right now I am keeping soft corals and lps only with no plans for SPS any time soon.

It is currently set up with a mag 7 return connected to a scwd

for additional flow in the tank I have 2 MJ 1200's (not enough IMO) . I want to replace the 2 MJ 1200's with 2 spray bars.

Should I put a scwd on the spray bars or not?

Would a mag 7 or a 9.5 be a better pump for the spray bars or am I way off on the right pump size?

Here is a top down view of what I plan to do.

I'm also considering removing the scwd from the return and running only one outlet from the return.

just get some seio's and call it a day

the spray bar design reduces flow considerable
and when I used them, it was constantly in need of cleaning
(the holes would get clogged)

if you still want to get the wave action like the SCWD
add 2 hydro-flow rotating heads to the MJ's and add the seio's
place the MJ's in the middle of the tank with the seio's on the corners

Thanks

For now I have set up the mag 7 with one 3/4" piece of PVC as an outlet and it seems to be working good. I will definately look into getting the Seio's or maybe a Tunze.

I have a 75g gal. As long as you have other flow in your tank such As a seio, then I would use the mag 7, come across the top of the tank using the sqwd with two nozzles, one on each side. I would agree with the fact that the spray bar is not effective, but as long as you have decent flow in your tank, but adding the nozzles blowing down into your tank, they create the turbulence your looking for. Good luck with it.

I have a 65g that has 2 SEIO 820s and a mag12 on a SCWD as a return. for a 110 I would consider 2 SEIO m1500s and keep what you have for the return.

Thanks

Steve,

I put the baffles in the 55 this weekend. I'm going to build a stand for it next weekend.

I was thinking about upgrading the return to a mag 12 when I move to the bigger sump.
