Thanks to pyro/eric I now have a 60-70 gallon sump to play with. It will be plumbed to my 30 gallon 'show' tank and the current 20 gallon sump will become a refugium.
In my previous posts I commented about microbubbles and a the GenX PCX30 pump being a bit strong for flow on the 30 gallon. What I'm going to do is put the skimmer on the same line so some of the flow goes to feed the skimmer and the rest runs to the main tank OM squirt. It is the fuge that I'm not sure of yet. I will place the fuge at a height so that the water can overflow into the main tank and all reproducing copepods/amphipods will be safely eaten by the fish/coral or distributed into the main tank's live rock.
Should I feed the refugium with the GenX pump as well just as I'm doing for the skimmer or should I plumb a seperate pump? I have some spare rios that could do that job though I don't trust them as much, they will be on 24/7.
any opinions ?
